Code typing challenge.
Practise JavaScript-style symbols and code in a free code typing test. Type brackets, quotes and punctuation while measuring WPM and accuracy locally.
Type the displayed passage in order. Backspace corrects the last character. Paste is disabled. Escape pauses. Control or Command plus Enter restarts. Leaving the input pauses the timer.
How to practise this challenge
This challenge uses short, original JavaScript-style snippets. Type the symbols and spaces exactly as displayed; the exercise checks transcription, not whether a program runs. It is useful for practising brackets and quotes, but is not an assessment of programming ability.
A useful target
Let accuracy lead when you reach braces, parentheses and quotation marks. Use the missed-key drill after finishing to repeat awkward symbols.
Results and key statistics stay in this browser. Use the missed-key drill after finishing, or review matching attempts on your personal progress page. You can change the test controls before starting; your saved result always records the settings you actually used.
