Terms of use.
For the current free typing practice website. Updated 20 October 2026.
Practice and educational use
Typing Ground provides typing tests, drills and learning material for practice. Scores can vary with the passage, keyboard, device, browser and test settings. Results are not independently verified, proctored or guaranteed to satisfy any employer’s assessment requirements.
Your content and results
You retain responsibility for custom practice text you use and the files you download. Only use text you are permitted to use. Do not present a personal practice record as an official qualification or a verified assessment.
Local data and availability
Local storage is not a backup service. Clearing browser data, changing devices, storage limits or browser settings can remove your results. Export records you want to keep. The service and its features may change, and uninterrupted availability is not promised.
Use the site responsibly
Do not misuse the site to interfere with its operation, compromise another person’s information or distribute harmful material. Take breaks while practising and stop if typing causes discomfort.
Understand the tools
Read how scoring works and our privacy notice before relying on a result or sharing a downloaded record.
