Capital Letter Typing Practice
Practise the change from a lowercase letter to its capital, then use that movement in names and sentences. The checker treats a and A as different characters.

Type the displayed passage in order. Backspace corrects the last character. Paste is disabled. Escape pauses. Control or Command plus Enter restarts. Leaving the input pauses the timer.
How to type a capital letter with Shift
On a conventional English keyboard, hold Shift while pressing a letter to enter its capital. Release Shift before the next lowercase letter. A common touch-typing technique is to use the Shift key on the opposite side from the letter hand: right Shift for a left-side A, for example, and left Shift for a right-side J.
Adapt the movement to your keyboard and access needs. The exercise checks the resulting character; it cannot tell which Shift key or finger you used. Sticky Keys or another input method can be appropriate. Choose a comfortable technique rather than forcing a stretch to follow a diagram.
Use letter pairs to notice the release
Start with the left-side or right-side letter pairs. In a A, type lowercase a, a space, then uppercase A. The small pause between pairs lets you notice when Shift is held and when it is released. You do not need to make both characters equally fast.
If the next word starts in capitals accidentally, check whether Shift stayed down or Caps Lock was enabled. For occasional capitals in ordinary writing, practise the brief Shift movement. A whole uppercase heading is a different task and may use Caps Lock deliberately.
Move from pairs to meaningful text
Names and places place a capital before several lowercase letters. Begin each name cleanly, release Shift, and include the following space. In sentence practice, look for both the full stop ending one sentence and the capital beginning the next.
The mixed exercise includes a day, personal names and a street name inside a sentence. Read the exact case shown rather than automatically capitalising every word. These invented practice examples isolate a keyboard skill; they are not a complete lesson in every English capitalisation rule.
Check accuracy before chasing speed
Entering p where the prompt shows P is a mismatch. Backspace can fix it, while the original attempt remains in accuracy. At the end, review whether errors cluster around capital letters or around the spaces following them. Repeat a smaller pair drill if the longer sentence feels rushed.
A very short letter drill can produce an unstable WPM. Use it for deliberate movement practice, then try a sentence or paragraph to see whether that movement transfers. Personal results stay in this browser, and no certificate or job qualification is implied.
