How to practise q, x, z and j words

Read the spelling carefully and keep your hand relaxed. A letter used less often in your own writing may feel awkward without indicating a problem with your keyboard. The drill is a varied sample, not a ranking of English letter frequency. Use the reach that fits your actual layout.

What to check after a run

Review the transition into and out of each target letter. If you tense up, stop the run and return at a comfortable pace.

1. Find the pattern

2. Connect the movement

The quiet workshop has an extra jacket beside the blue box. A zigzag line crosses the example map, and a short question appears next to the final puzzle.

3. Apply it in context

Jamie placed a quartz-coloured card beside the example box and joined the queue for a quiet review. The next page used a zigzag border rather than a straight line. Read the unusual letter groups before typing them and let the rest of the sentence retain an easy rhythm.
