Type the displayed passage in order. Backspace corrects the last character. Paste is disabled. Escape pauses. Control or Command plus Enter restarts. Leaving the input pauses the timer.
How to practise currency amounts
Check which symbol appears before each amount. Dollar and pound signs may be in different places on US and UK keyboards; use your own layout rather than a memorised location from another keyboard. The exercise intentionally mixes formats. You only need to transcribe them, not convert currencies or calculate a total.
What to check after a run
If your keyboard cannot easily enter a symbol, choose a different lesson rather than pasting the target. Keep the final two decimal places and check comma placement in the larger amounts.

Preview the exact targets before choosing a run. Counts include spaces and punctuation after whitespace normalisation.
1. Find the pattern
$4.50 £7.25 $12.00 £0.80 $1,250.50 £2,040.00 $9.95 £18.60
2. Connect the movement
The sample stationery list shows a folder at $3.40, a tray at £6.75 and a stand at $24.00. The second label reads £24.40.
3. Apply it in context
Copy these fictional display prices exactly: desk lamp $38.50, notice board £42.00, storage box $16.95 and paper pack £5.80. The training sheet uses both symbols to exercise keyboard movement; it is not a current price comparison.
