Changing the exercise or format resets the run. A time limit is a maximum: finishing the text ends the run early, using your actual active time.

How to practise javascript typing

Read the identifier and its case pattern before typing. Parentheses, brackets and braces have different roles in the samples, so copy their visible shape carefully. These snippets are for symbol practice, not a complete programming tutorial. Line breaks are normalised into spaces by the engine.

What to check after a run

Check the arrow and equality symbols separately. A single missing character can change a familiar-looking expression.

Preview the exact targets before choosing a run. Counts include spaces and punctuation after whitespace normalisation.

1. Find the pattern

const title = "Sample card"; const count = 12; const ready = true; const label = title.toLowerCase();

2. Connect the movement

const cards = ["blue", "grey", "white"]; const labels = cards.map((colour) => `${colour} draft`); const visible = labels.filter((label) => label.includes("blue"));

3. Apply it in context

function describeCard(card) { if (!card.ready) { return "Awaiting review"; } return `${card.title}: version ${card.version}`; } const sample = { title: "Paper map", version: 2, ready: true };
