How to practise inventory quantities
Read the item name and quantity together. Repeated labels can tempt you to carry a previous count into the next entry. The exercise includes whole quantities, zero stock and pack notation. You are copying a sample log, not calculating an order or managing a real inventory.
What to check after a run
Review whether a number was mistyped or assigned to the wrong item. Preserve the lower-case x in pack notation and the colon where a label introduces a count.

1. Find the pattern
Folders: 24. Trays: 8. Clips: 120. Labels: 0. Pads: 16. Packs: 6 x 12. Boxes: 3 x 20.
2. Connect the movement
The sample shelf holds 14 blue folders, 41 grey folders and 4 white folders. Copy 2 x 25 labels and 5 x 10 envelopes into the practice note.
3. Apply it in context
Inventory exercise: rack A has 38 markers, rack B has 83 markers and rack C has 0 markers. The next delivery label says 4 x 15. Keep that pack notation intact; no multiplication or stock adjustment is required during this copying drill.
