How to practise reference codes
Scan a code from left to right and notice its letter-digit pattern. Copy one group at a time, including the hyphen. These fictional references avoid passwords and genuine account identifiers. If a letter resembles a number, use the visible target rather than guessing from the surrounding sequence.
What to check after a run
Review transpositions such as AB-204 versus AB-240. A correct prefix does not make the rest of the code predictable. Repeat the second sample when group changes cause most of your mistakes.

2. Connect the movement
Copy task REQ-0428 before task REQ-0482. File BOX-107-A beside BOX-170-B. Keep reference NOTE-0061 separate from NOTE-0601.
3. Apply it in context
The practice queue contains LAB-210-C, LAB-201-D and LAB-012-E. Move only the written references into the sample note. Finish with ARCH-0047-R and ARCH-0074-S, checking both the digit order and the final letter before you continue.
