Observation: the example card was turned twice. Note: the title remained visible. Question: would a wider margin help? No conclusion was recorded.
Type the displayed passage in order. Backspace corrects the last character. Paste is disabled. Escape pauses. Control or Command plus Enter restarts. Leaving the input pauses the timer.
How to practise observation notes
Read qualifiers such as appeared and did not before typing the main action. The sample notes avoid real participants and contain no research findings about users. Your task is precise transcription, not judging behaviour or producing a study conclusion from the fictional examples.
What to check after a run
Check whether your copy changed a tentative note into a confident claim. Preserve the distinction between an observation and a question.

1. Find the pattern
Observation: the example card was turned twice. Note: the title remained visible. Question: would a wider margin help? No conclusion was recorded.
2. Connect the movement
In the fictional session, the reader checked the index before the map. The note says the second label was not read aloud. It does not explain why that happened.
3. Apply it in context
The practice observer records that the paper sheet was folded along the marked line and placed beside the earlier draft. A separate note asks whether the caption could be larger. Copy the two statements as observations and questions, without turning them into a claim that the design has been validated.
